This was a delightful piece of whimsical theatrical storytelling. Making use of a large projection screen, the company used cartoon style drawings which were projected, and then had a live actor interacting in shadow with the projected scenes, all while telling the beautiful story of a young girl's desire to help bring her mother home. It almost took the form of a live action storybook, complimented with subtle sound design to create the various spaces. The company also provided an ASL interpreter, which was a great addition to support conveying the story to multiple audience members.
My only quibble would be that there was a song mid-way through which just felt a little out of place with the style of the rest of the piece.
